Summary

Shall the constitutional limitation upon the total taxes which may be levied on all taxable real and personal property in the unincorporated area of the Township of Ray, Macomb County, Michigan, be increased by one (1 mill for each one ($1.00) dollar ($1.00 for each $1,000) of the taxable value of such property, as finally equalized, for a period of five (5) years (2011-2016 inclusive) for the purpose of renewing current millage and providing funds for the purchase of equipment and truck replacement for the Ray Township Fire and Rescue Department? The estimated revenue to be collected in the first year that the millage is authorized and levied is $172,291.00. The proposed millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage and does not constitute new additional millage.
