Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be imposed on taxable property within the Charter Township of Clinton, Macomb County, State of Michigan, be increased by 2.3766 mills ($2.3766 on each $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of ten (10) years, 2026 to 2035, inclusive, as a renewal of a portion of the 1.5000 mills previously authorized by the electors of the Township in 2006 as currently expected to be reduced to 1.4260 mills by operation of the Headlee Amendment and a portion of the 0.9875 mill previously authorized by the electors of the Township in 2018 as currently expected to be reduced to 0.9506 mill by operation of the Headlee Amendment, for the purpose of providing funds for: (1) acquiring new police apparatus; and (2) other costs for the Police Department? It is estimated that 2.3766 mills will raise approximately Nine Million Six Hundred and Twenty-Two Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Dollars ($9,622,340) when first levied in 2026.
